An interesting article form Petrina Berry publish in canstar.com.au analyses the results of a recent survey which shows how parents Parents help financially their children to buy a home.
Almost two out of three parents are either helping or planning to help financially their children or grandchildren to buy a home. Also, some parents are even considering to retire later if it is necessary.
The survey revealed that almost half of respondents have given cash to children or grandchildren to help them buy a home, while 16% have lent them money (interest free).
Some parents buy investment properties planning to provide a rent-free accommodation to their children, so they can save money for a deposit to purchase their future home.
